Paper Qualifications vs Skills

This sharing is about qualifications vs skills. In all his years, nobody cared if Arthur had a degree except the radio station. I think the radio station lost a great talent when they focused on the wrong criteria. Knowledge is important. I am not discounting the value of formal education. My point is, do not pursue a paper qualification without learning or developing skills. If you do not have a paper qualification, that does not mean you cannot be successful. In our context, a degree can perhaps earn you a job or get you started, but it cannot help you grow further without skills. So, know what are the relevant skills of the future and acquire them intentionally. Relevant skills are actually more important than a degree. Whether they are hard or soft skills, they are transferable and applicable to any industry, any job, and any situation. What's your view? Your Steward, Jimmy
